Win Negotiation Essay Paper Sample

Win Negotiation Essay Paper SampleA win negotiation is when two or more parties reach an agreement about the terms and conditions of a specific transaction. This is not an easy thing to achieve, and certainly not one that anyone can claim an infallible record for. However, if done properly and skillfully, this is a good thing to attempt and probably easier than you think! There are certain people and companies who seem to naturally do well in negotiations. These include banks, service providers, and other businesses where money is involved. They are able to hold their own against their adversaries even without a great deal of forethought and planning as long as they have good negotiating skills and know how to read a good deal.Another example is in the way that William Jennings Bryan was able to hold off his opponents through a combination of public relations and the addition of bargaining chips. The two main components to successful negotiation are the ability to appear both confiden t and to appear to be in control. It is difficult to do both at the same time and probably impossible. William Jennings Bryan did this very well.I myself have seen many instances where participants in a negotiation went so far as to look as though they were trying to work against each other but instead actually worked together to make a deal and even came up with some ways to be able to go so far as to 'win' or be able to get a deal that was mutually beneficial to both sides. When these things are done then usually the outcome is a win for both parties involved.A win situation is an ideal for all parties involved and usually gives them a lot of satisfaction from both the accomplishment of the task itself and the fact that they were able to come to an agreement and it ended up being for the better. When a person does not have the ability to visualize themselves winning they will always settle for a loss, but it is a loss that will not make them feel good and will instead cause them t o wonder whether they really did all that much to help the situation. The first thing to do when trying to come up with a possible win situation is to ask yourself if there are any areas of your life where you could gain some advantage through winning. For example, if your hair is your most distinguishing feature, then win! If you are tall and have a nice voice, then win!Next, make sure that you can see yourself as the winner or as someone who would benefit from a possible win. This way you will be less likely to view yourself as a loser and instead view yourself as someone who gained something from the situation. Finally, look at your proposed situation in a specific time frame. Making an agreement for the future is not going to be possible if it is a win versus loss situation because of time. Therefore, you must clearly look at the current situation in order to make sure that you are not going to try to win a battle that will only end up making things worse.
